Vaginal Rejuvenation with FemTouch
The Vagina you have versus the vagina you had
Childbirth, aging, menopause and other hormonal changes can all result in unwanted changes in a woman’s vagina. These could include, but not be limited to, occasional incontinence which makes it difficult for a woman to hold her bladder like she once was able to hold it, a decrease in vaginal tightness and/or a decrease in vaginal dryness, both of which may lead to a decrease in pleasure for one or both partners during sex with vaginal intercourse. The FemTouch procedure helps restore vaginal health, giving women back the vagina they remember from their younger days without surgery or hormones.
What is the FemTouch laser procedure?
The FemTouch laser procedure is an outpatient laser procedure that does not include surgery or hormones. It causes no more discomfort than a typical vaginal ultrasound. Watch Dr. Lisa from The Doctors show explain the FemTouch procedure in the video below.

How does the FemTouch procedure work?
Covering the muscle tissue of the vagina is a sheath of mucous producing connective tissue (very similar to collagen) that consists of blood vessels, lymphatic ducts, and nerve fibres. This layer of connective tissue joins those tissues of the urinary bladder, rectum, and other pelvic structures. So when the cells of this connective tissue atrophy, the vagina experiences dryness. Also the parts of the connective tissue that join to the urinary bladder are less able to do their job of helping muscles hold urine in the bladder. FemTouch works by promoting the growth of the cells that line the this connective tissue. FemTouch does this by shining fractional CO² laser beams along the vaginal wall. These laser beams promote fresh cell growth by destroying old cells. Watch the video below for a visual overview of how FemTouch laser procedure works.

What to expect during a FemTouch laser procedure at Women First
During the procedure, your physician will move the sterilized applicator along the vaginal wall in an outward motion, applying the laser in a 360º pattern covering the entire area. The procedure should take a few minutes. You may experience a minor heat sensation during the treatment, but it is very gentle and you should not feel uncomfortable.
Am I a good candidate for FemTouch?
FemTouch helps treat vaginal dryness, occasional incontinence, vaginal lack of tightness and other age, childbirth or menopausal conditions that may affect vaginal health in women as young as 20 and as mature as 80. Dr. Corney will discuss with you your individual medical history and vaginal health concerns to determine if FemTouch, or one of the other treatments at Women Touch is right for you.
What is the length of time for the FemTouch laser treatment and how long to after effects last?
The treatment itself takes only five minutes. Your appointment will also include a vaginal exam before the actual treatment. After the treatment you can return to your normal day’s activities. Just refrain from having sexual activity for 72 hours after each treatment.
How long does it take for the treatments to work?
Typically 2-4 treatments may be needed for the vaginal sheath of mucous producing connective tissue to rejuvenate. Treatments are administered about a month to a month and a half apart.
What can I expect during the treatment? Does it hurt?
FemTouch procedures do not require any anesthetic or numbing. You feel vibration and you may feel a bit of heat.
What type of vaginal care is needed after the treatment?
Dr. Corney may prescribe hydrating gel to be applied inside the vaginal for a week after each treatment.
How long after the entire treatment regime is over can I expect to see results
Many patient testimonials report that the results can be felt a week after the treatment. But each patient is different and it may take up to six months for the new cell growth of the vaginal sheath of mucous producing connective tissue to complete.
